Come enjoy live harp in a beautiful setting. Saturday 12/3.

Please join the Friends of the Jackson Public Library as they host local favorite Dominique Dodge playing beautiful Gaelic harp music. She will perform two shows on Saturday December 3, 2016, one at 3:00 pm and another at 7:00 pm at the Jackson Public Library, located at 52 Main Street in Jackson, NH.

Dominique spent much of the last 6 months in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, which has a vibrant living tradition of Gaelic language, music, and dance. These traditions were brought over by emigrants from Scotland and shaped by generations of Cape Breton people. Her concerts in Jackson will reflect her time in Cape Breton, including Gaelic songs, dance tunes from the piping and fiddle repertoire, and a few waltzes and airs.

Dominique Dodge is a harper and singer who grew up in Jackson, NH and now lives in Vermont and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She is deeply grounded in the music and song traditions of Cape Breton, Ireland, and Scotland. A former Fulbright Scholar and a 2012 graduate of the University of Limerick with a MA in Irish Music Performance, Dominique also holds a BA Honours in Scottish Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. She has been performing, recording and teaching traditional music on both sides of the Atlantic for over ten years.
