The library gets a copy of the Boston Globe each day and we have Entertainment Weekly, Time and This Old House in print and on Nook. In addition we subscribe to Yankee, Vegetarian Times, Family Fun, Smithsonian, Organic Gardening, Christian Science Monitor, Northeast Flavor (quarterly) Interweave Knits (quarterly), Better Homes and Gardens, Whole Living, Powder (skiing) Kiwi (family/parenting) and Audiofile magazines. All are available to check- out, so stop in and learn about all the latest issues at the Library.
Thanks to generous community donations, the Library now has the ability to continuously monitor detailed weather data, such as: temperature, humidity, wind, rain, and barometric pressure and post this information directly to a Weatherlink Website. The website uploads data every minute as part of a nationwide data collecting network.
In addition, WeatherLink software installed on one of the Library’s computers allows users to see detailed analysis and graphing of weather data taken directly from our station’s data logger and console.
In keeping with our commitment to serve the community of Jackson, we are proud to announce this new Library website. Commissioned from local ‘itinerant’ librarian, Lichen Rancourt, we hope this will make it easier for you to take advantage of everything the Library has to offer. Start by searching for books, dvds, and audios in our online catalog.
