October Question of the Month

The days are getting shorter and the nights longer. ‘Tis the season of pumpkins, goblins and bats. In the spirit of spooky, we are wondering: What is the scariest book you have ever read? What is your favorite scary book?

I love the Lockwood and Company series by Jonathan Stroud, they are a delightful combination of scary and lighthearted all in one.

Responses to September’s Question of the Month, Do you prefer reading your books in an e-reader format or from an actual book?
Our patrons seem to greatly prefer reading print books over digital ones by a margin of about 6 to 1! However, several folks also pointed out that digital books are easier to take on vacation. Others commented that they read both equally, and two people added that they like audio books best. In whatever format you prefer – Happy Reading!
