An evening of storytelling and Didgeridoo music

Please join the Friends of the Jackson Public Library for an evening of storytelling and didgeridoo music with local musician Brian Charles, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 7 pm at the Jackson Public Library, located at 52 Main Street in Jackson, NH.

Using the instrument and traditional Australian aboriginal dreamtime storytelling, Brian Charles invites you into the unique and powerful world of the didgeridoo. The didgeridoo, a simple, five foot long end-blown instrument, can be traced back through cave paintings thousands of years to the beginning of Australian Aboriginal “Dream Time”. The rich layers of sounds, animal calls, pulsing repetitions, and deep tonal flavors give this instrument a unique and powerful character.

A Juilliard-trained, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Brian Charles has played didgeridoo, oboe, English horn, bassoon, sax, flute and clarinet in TV commercials, video game soundtracks, live performances, recordings and Shamanic healing ceremonies. Brian founded and owns North Conway Music Center, a full-line music store, teaching facility and repair shop located in North Conway, NH.
