The Library’s Board of Trustees is looking for candidates for the one year term of Alternate Trustee. Alternates attend meetings and provide feedback when a vote is necessary they do so in the absence of an elected trustee. As you may have heard, the President’s budget proposal eliminates funding to cultural programs. Among them are the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), which administers the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). These support state libraries and comprise the only federal funding libraries receive. Many of the most important services our excellent New Hampshire State Library (NHSL) offers come from this program.
