Help the Library

The Library’s Board of Trustees is looking for candidates for the one year term of Alternate Trustee. Alternates attend meetings and provide feedback when a vote is necessary they do so in the absence of an elected trustee. It is an excellent way to see how the Library runs and to participate in steering this wonderful ship. If you are interested in becoming an Alternate or if you have questions, please contact Lichen.

The Federal Budget… and you.

As you may have heard, the President’s budget proposal eliminates funding to cultural programs. Among them are the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), which administers the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). These support state libraries and comprise the only federal funding libraries receive. Many of the most important services our excellent New Hampshire State Library (NHSL) offers come from this program.
