Our children’s programs were bustling with activity this July! We had over 52 individual kids come in to participate in our Summer Reading Programs, many of them on numerous occasions. Many books were read, creative projects undertaken, and superheroes trained. Fantastic job to you all! We hope you will keep stopping by throughout the year. We put out a huge thank you to the many local business that so generously donated to our summer literacy efforts: Attitash/Wildcat, Backcountry Cafe, Cranmore, Dairy Queen, Fisher Cats, Flossie’s, Hannaford, J-Town Deli, Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, Portland Sea Dogs, Story Land, The Toy Chest, Trails End, and Walmart. We were also thrilled to have the storyteller Simon Brooks in for a delightfully dynamic performance. This was made possible by a Kids, Books and the Arts Grant, as well as our own Friends of the Jackson Public Library. We are grateful for your support.
Our regular Storytime and Lego Club gatherings are taking a break in August, but they will return in September. Our next Storytime will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 3rd, and the next Lego Club will meet on Thursday, September 10th at 4:30 pm. Don’t forget that the Storywalk is always open.
