As promised, here is my annotated list of new books. Please don’t forget that we are in One Book One Valley season and this year’s selection is Where You’ll Find Me: Risk, decisions, and the last climb of Kate Matrosova by Ty Gagne. It is incredibly interesting and well written. I recommend it and I, for one, am looking forward to the various related events around the area. Join me!?

- I was happy to fill in our Flavia de Luce series by C. Alan Bradley. They came in a box of donations. If you like mysteries and you haven’t read the series, I do recommend them. The primary is a smart young girl who solves mysteries working around the police… At least that describes the first one that I read. We have numbers one, two, three, fie, six, and seven. I have added the others to our wishlist. Interesting, cozy, not challenging stories. We all need that sometimes!
- A gathering of secrets by Linda Castillo. An Amish story that a few folks have borrowed. Find it at F CAS.
- I’ve got my eyes on you by Mary Higgins Clark. There seems to be some extra Mary Higgins Clark interest this fall, so I bought her latest. Find it at F CLA.
- Tear me apart by J. T. Ellison. Find it at F ELL.
- Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. This is, by far, one of the best books I have read this year. Jackson did not have a copy in our collection so I put it on our wishlist because it’s one I feel I want to read over and over. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Find it at F GYA.
- Little comfort by Edwin Hill. It’s well documented that I find it nearly impossible to pass by a library protagonist. This is a mystery with a librarian sleuth. I cannot wait to read it. Find it at F HIL.
- The kiss quotient by Helen Hoang. Find it at F HOA.
- The sapphire widow by Dinah Jefferies. We were lucky enough to have a donation of the British version before it was even released in the US! Find it at F JEF.
- Whisper me this by Kerry Anne King. Find it at F KIN.
- Desolation mountain by William Kent Krueger. The latest in the popular Cork O’Connor series. Find it at F KRU.

- Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris. Find it at F MCM.
- Leave no trace by Mindy Mejia. Find it at F MEJ.
- Dead Men Don’t Ski by Patricia Moyes. As older title I picked up used thinking it might appeal and two of you have asked for the next one but no one in NH owns it! Our budget is getting tight this time of year so I added it to our wishlist in hopes someone may feel like sponsoring. If not, I’ll buy it in the next order. ps. If you want to sponsor from our list, you do not have to buy it from Amazon. We can also take a check earmarked for a certain item – I may be able to get a better price. Find it at F MOY.
- Where the crawdads sing by Delia Owens. #6 on Amazon’s topsellers and the reviews on it are off the charts. Find it at F OWE.

- Beyond High School: a guide to your rights and responsibilities by Jennifer A. Eber. I am kind of in love with this book. Just simple things to help us navigate the world alone. Not strictly for Young Adults, I can think of a few adults proper who could use it… myself for starters. Find it at YA 323 EBE.
