Summer Reading Program a Huge Success!

It was a very busy July at the Jackson Library during our Summer Reading Program. With a total of 52 kids joining us for some hands-on science activities, sometimes as many as 24 at a time, we tested our senses, engineered with marshmallows, erupted volcanoes and created tornadoes, built boats that sank and floated, and explored how we taste. While at home, the kids read, logging hundreds of ours of reading. Well done one and all! A big thank you to our sponsors who helped make it all happen: Attitash, Backcountry Café and Bakery, Cranmore, Dairy Queen, Flossie’s, Hannaford, J-Town Deli, Old Village Bakery, Portland Sea Dogs, Story Land, The Toy Chest, Trails End, Walmart.
