Two awesome Library events this weekend

It is a rare treat when we host two fun activities in as many days, but here it is.

Please join long-time friends, Friends, and volunteers of the Library for Pub-Style trivia at 3pm on Saturday. You can come with a team or come alone and we will find a team for you. There will be refreshments. The game is appropriate for older kids, but the littles are welcome to play in the children’s room.

Then, at 7pm on Sunday, Please join the Friends of the Jackson Public Library for “Gothic Victorian Tales by Candlelight” presented by Rita Parisi from Waterfall Productions.

This theatrical presentation will feature stories about CURSES, DEATH and IMMORTALITY from the 19th century New England writer, Sarah Orne Jewett. A native of South Berwick Maine, her stories mirror the everyday lives of New Englanders; often reflecting the mysterious and supernatural.

Rita Parisi has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years in the New England area. In 2002, she founded Waterfall Productions to create shows that highlight her passion for theatre, literature and costuming. Rita is also actively involved in the independent film scene in Boston and is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild and American Federations of Television and Radio Artists).

This lecture is free and open to the public although a $5.00 donation is welcome to offset presenter expenses. For more information, please contact the Jackson Public Library at 603-383- 9731.
