Description
This production is part of a famous series produced by BBC of all of William Shakespeare's plays. The resulting films, renowned for their loyalty to the text, utilized the best theatrical and television directors and brought highly praised performances from leading contemporary actors. When defeat at St Albans forces Henry to cede succession to the House of York, an infuriated Queen Margaret fights on, determined her son will be the next king. But with the Duke of York's death in battle, the future of the throne is once again thrown into question. Shakespeare's final War of the Roses installment continues the descent of an ordered world into chaos.
