The speed limit has been imposed, but the row rumbles on...BLOTS ON THE LANDSCAPE Should garden centres and supermarkets be allowed to build and expand in the National Park? And what about pylons and windfarms?..TOO MUCH TRAFFIC? Traffic congestion is as bad as ever, despite efforts to get people out of their cars. Plans for a relief road for Ambleside, proposed over 20 years ago, have still not gone through...CLIMATE CHANGE The floods of December 2015 highlight how much damage climate change may bring to landscapes as well as communities.
